Not exaggerating when I say that the setup is easy for those familiar with router configuration nightmare, do not be afraid, this is the most simple home network that I have ever used. You can add security via the supplied CD, but I'm worried. My setup for this product was as follows: [...] Internet Cable Extreme 50 Mbps / download and a Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless GI entered the gray XAV101 (which calls the Netgear Powerline AV Ethernet Adapter) to decision based on a standard 3-pin, 2 output jacks. I also had a surge protector with four or five devices connected to the outlet at the top for the duration of the test. Note that for those with large exercises / case, all devices included in this package to connect up with 2 points. I then connected the Ethernet adapter for my Linksys router via Ethernet cable. The three lights on the card Powerline AV will not turn on, I had to shove a bit 'and make sure that was 100% in comfortable grip.I believe that the power adapter, since its design, could come out a little 'grip, causing a disconnect from the network. The other end, about 50 m away (same floor, different room), I connected the Ethernet switch (XAV 1004). Using the Ethernet cable included other (the set comes with 2), I connected the port 1 switch (Netgear, which lists the "high priority" port) to my computer and using another ethernet cable, I used port 2 for my Xbox 360.One of the best features of this item is the switch, but allows 4 devices to be connected at once, so if you have multiple devices that can not easily get a wireless signal or are not compatible with USB WiFi devices (ie Blu-Ray or the Xbox 360, which can only use Microsoft's proprietary Wi-Fi adapter) this is a great product. Immediately after connecting the ethernet cable, I had an internet connection and was connected to my network. Total setup time: less than 5 minutes (and most of which moved my desk / couch off the road to get to the outlet). The benefits are networking products in which to live or die, and this offers good. On my PC, I was previously using a D-Link DWA-140 Wireless N USB adapter that would drop the connection. According [...], I was getting a speed of Internet connection for download of 12 Mbps, with XAVB1004 Home Theater Kit, I was regularly getting 20 Mbps download. Also, I was not dropped connections to my router. For my Xbox 360, where I was previously using the Microsoft Wireless-G USB, my connection speed has increased as well.A file of 250 megabytes video from Xbox Live Marketplace took about 3 minutes to download, whereas before it would take approximately 8 - 10 minutes. No dropped connections or installation required extra. The XAVB1004 is easily fast enough for HD video, extremely high-speed internet access and share media files over the network. The configuration is simple, fast and painless, but honestly is one of the few home networking products that lives up to its advertising. If you have a home theater in need of high-speed networking, high performance, this is an excellent product for you. Yes, because the rating to 4 stars? Two reasons. That Ethernet adapter must be 100% in the wall, otherwise it connects. I refer to 100% if it moves a bit ', you may lose the connection. Be sure to place it in a location that does not get much traffic around it. I would recommend devoting an entire set of points of sale of this device, but it seems that the yield increases. The second reason is price. Yes, this is a quality product, but 0 at the time of this review, which will cost 80-100 more than most Wireless G / N USB adapter, and 50 - 70 more than most Wireless G / N bridges ethernet.Granted, these devices have integrated 4-port switch (usually) and are usually hit or miss quality. My D-Link DWA-140 N USB adapter has a terrible rate in most homes, almost all wireless USB adapters that I bought over the past 5 years, dropped connections and got the signal is weak. Conclusion: If you have a home theater devices that demand high amounts of bandwidth for this premium product is certainly worth the price. If you only need 1 of the coupling device or not they need a media stream, you should consider cheaper alternatives.Furthermore, those with exceptionally large homes (5,000 + m) may decide to purchase this product to a retailer that allows returns this product is only for scenes rated sqm up to 5000)....
